headache
I need a big fat, tight, bone-crushing hug.
But please, if just about any of you randomly come up to me and hug me I'm gonna kill you.
I hope this week ends fast.

just another manic monday
You're so vain!
You probably think this song is about you,
don't you,
dont you?
Surrogates premiere screening yesterday night; now I know I should invite someone who'll pay for the drinks coz I supply the tickets?
*
Oh Dad, Poor Dad play at KLPAC starting this Wednesday - I got one friend in it and another who's the assistant producer something something so I'll probably go with my buddies to give support.
*
Is it me or is this particular weekend like packed with so many events, that I'm getting confused with what is going on?

i have a secret
I'm not going to class today or anymore for that matter; I have already moved out of the house to live with my jobless weed-taking rocker-wannabe boyfriend whose child I'm 5 weeks pregnant with, and we're staying in this run-down apartment with a leaking bathroom and hookers next door.
Oh, and I got myself a tattoo.
Really one lah.

It's so amazing, I think my life has taken a definite turn for the better.
The initial euphoria is still beating on that I'm literally giddy.
The thing is though, I have this stupid phobia by which before (or while) something good is happening, I fear the end. And usually it does.
But no! Optimistic Sam will take the stage this time!
Oh great, the headache is still on. I'm starting to doubt it's due to the excited-ness, but a real headache.
I think it's too much chocolates; I just got back from seeing my Australian aunt and we had the first opening ceremony for the chocolates, sigh.
After Redang, I'm gonna ask my aunt to do something for my hair before she goes back; her kids have awesome highlights!
Oh dayum it's already 1am, and I still need to go catch up on some e-reading before I'm heading for the Internet, Facebook, laptop-less 3 days trip to the island.
Text me if you want any souvenirs from that place! Actual giving of souvenir not guaranteed though, it might get lost on the way back. You know lah, plane luggage transport cannot trust 100% one.

it's you, not me
Up til about half an hour ago, I was having a thoroughly relaxing day watching reruns of Las Vegas.
Then I saw something immature which made me feel really really bitchy.
Wow, this is so not me.

do you believe me? do you? do you?
In spirit of the Raya celebrations, where forgiveness and a change for the better is encouraged, Samanthacje...
...pledges never to say another vulgar word.
I shall replace 'damn, sh*t, crap' with 'Oh no.'
Every time I want to call a girl a b*tch I shall say, 'This is annoying.'
Every time I want to call a guy an a--hole I shall say, 'This is annoying.'
Every time something annoying happens I shall say, 'This is annoying.'
Every time something more than annoying happens I shall say, 'This is annoying.'
Every time I feel like breaking someone's head in I shall just take a deep breath and say, 'This is annoying.'
And of course, every time I feel like saying something worse than Damn, I would shut my mouth tight, count to ten, and say out loud:
"This is -- annoying."
'--' subject to change, depending on current mood and situation yo.
*serious face* I am gonna be someone nicer, I promise.
HA HA HA

responsible samantha? pfft!
Today, I felt very much like a responsible adult.
With both my parents at Penang, I was given the responsibility to, err, manage my two younger siblings. Not that they need much managing, so far it has been two days and we are getting along just fine...by leaving each other alone. But that's another story in itself.
Well, today I woke up and prepared for church as my sis did too without anyone telling us to. And both of us were the ones who needed our parents constant nagging every Sunday to Wake Up Now! This shows that nags are not essentially vital for waking up or doing a chore; it is actually up to Yourself whether you want to do it or not. And I have found many times that I automatically go do something that usually needed some 'reminders' from my parents, such as waking up to go to college.
I drove to church, we were 15 minutes late only surprisingly.I ran a red light, unfortunately As I sat through the service, I felt once again the mature responsibility that I will have to experience a lot more in the future, with my dad now working at Penang. After service, my sis and I decided to go have lunch at Mid Valley as we wanted to get new swim suits for the Redang trip this Wednesday. Burger King at KLIA is much much better, and McD anywhere is officially the best!
I got myself a pair of gorgeous blackwhite tankini, and my sis got away without buying anything.
Actually, I don't know what's the point of me writing this post as I don't usually do these 'Today I...' posts, but I just wanted to share this crucial-point-in-my-life moment with everyone in the world.

i am an addict
I wanted to write about something else, but decided that this was more important.
Today something in CLEO caught my eye. It was an article about how we all tend to share just about everything in our lives on the Internet. I could really connect with this article as I feel that yes, I have that tendency of oversharing. Everytime I go anywhere, I would automatically think of how I would write it on my blog, and pictures that are taken are almost immediately uploaded on Facebook and properly captioned and tagged.
Sharing the latest updates in your life to all your friends through the Internet is definitely convenient, cheap and fast! But seriously, do we really need that?
The article questions whether people nowadays have contracted the social addict disease in which you would feel upset or like there's something not yet done when you lack the necessity to go online and upload your latest picture taken at the club with the 600 friends on Facebook or some new information to share on Twitter.
Prior to reading this article, recently I questioned myself on whether I am (no laughs please) addicted to Facebook.
The answer is, scarily, yes. I mean, I can't even do my assignment properly without thinking or worrying about Did someone tagged me in a picture? or Did anyone comment on my latest picture album upload?
I have an amazing 69 photo albums on Facebook, which I think is more than the average person. I have 631 'friends', even though I scan through his or her profile before adding, making sure I have had at least heard of this person before adding. Imagine if I just accept every friend request - I would probably have a thousand 'friends!' And yes there are people who do that, and I'm not blaming you for you are free to do whatever you want, but sometimes I share private information which I don't feel safe letting someone I don't know, know about it.
To think of it, I don't think I have personally spoken to half of the people in my Facebook list anyway. So what's so safe about it?
Twitter I don't really use it, only when I'm online, but believe me, I have considered getting a new phone that MUST HAVE a Twitter application for me to update my status on the go. But to think logically, since when has that become a life-or-death situation?
Well, I'm not condemning the use of online social applications, for they definitely have much good as well. For example, Twitter helped me get my first ever job at MSN (and what an amazing experience it was, thank Kel Li again!), and Facebook, well, got me reconnected with many old friends and new ones. And of course, keeps me updated with my friends whom I don't see everyday or even for years!
Like, today's only the first day of Raya and I've already seen on Facebook a couple of my Malay friends who have uploaded some pictures of their Raya gatherings in their respective kampungs.
Can someone spell efficient?
In light of this issue, I have a funny and yet at the end, thoughtful video to share.
I pledge to live my life more like I did pre-Blogger, Facebook, Twitter, MSN Messenger, Youtube and Blackboard 7.
Ha ha just joking.
PS - Ooh another good and VERRRY recent example - I don't have to be watching TV or read football blogs (are there such things?) to know that MU just won Man City over a 4-3 score, with a phenomenal last goal by Michael Owen on the 6th minute of extra time.
'Thank you' Twitter and Facebook for that very, err, informative information.

I hate the words weird and fishcakes.
I like the words orange, sweet, and tangy. Nevermind that they are somehow related, in the citrusy kind of way.
I am starting to hate my yellow nail polish. It's drying up so it spreads on my nails unevenly and the colour is not as bright as before.
Tonight is gonna be good, I can just feel it in my bones.

the lovers, the dreamers and me
I believe in miracles.
The first that I ever remembered happening to me was about my lost diary, which I had lost for years and could not find. One night I couldn't sleep, and I don't know why I kept thinking about that particular lost diary. I asked God, and then I got a sudden urge to go check under the lower drawer of my cupboard.
I got up from my bed, switched on the lights, and took out the whole lower drawer. Guess what was under it?
It was really unbelievable, and yes you may laugh at me and think me easily pleased; but I am!
Today, I heard someone playing My Heart Will Go On on the piano. This inspired me to go to the cupboard where we keep all our old piano books, and I randomly took out two books.
I went through the first book, and then the second. The very last song of the second book - sigh - was a song that I recently heard and was trying out to play at the piano the other day, but couldn't really catch it. The Rainbow Connection it was, theme from 'Muppet Movie' (which I never watched but Sesame Street comes to mind). The version I'm listening to is by Sarah McLachlan, who sang When She Loved Me, a featured song in Toy Story.
Can it just so happen that this piano book from ages ago, which was from my mom and I had used many many times before, just suddenly fell into my hands at this time, when I had just discovered this song? A tiny miracle, perhaps you'll call it a little gift, but I for one try never to look at a gift horse in the mouth.
You can get the chords from this site or just google it yourself. In the book, the song is in A major but I transposed it to her singing key which is E flat major.
Another gorgeous song -learn to play Two Is Better Than One by Boys Like Girls and Taylor Swift here.
*
Miracles are for simple people you may say, people who find pleasure in the simplest, littlest things in life. In the most random things - the fact that I bought the perfect pair of pretty green slippers two days ago, or that I live on the top floor of an apartment, where I get to feel the very first night breeze on my skin before anyone else does.
Sometimes though, we are so immersed in ourselves that we forget how other people are feeling in their lives. And sometimes you try so hard to put others first, focusing on how happy you want to make them to be, that you forget about yourself.
It is time that I put myself first; and yet it is also time that I remind myself how lucky I am, and how some other people do not have so many good things in their lives. Confusing yes, but I never claimed to be simple-minded.
I am just a complicated-minded person who believes in miracles.
All we need is just someone who understands us. But firstly, you've got to understand yourself.
Ah, a melancholic night.

AWESOMEness, NOT!
I am gonna get myself an awesome camera, and then go out to take awesome pictures to post on my blog, so that I don't spend the whole day online looking at awesome blogs with awesome pictures, wishing that I had some awesome pictures and stories to post up too.
Awesome is so overused; I pledge never to mention them again. Unless in special circumstances, of course!

And one more thing, the picture of me in the previous post is the BEFORE; you won't believe how awesome I look now.
...
Special circumstances, ok!

Okay now I'm gonna go blow dry my hair, then figure out a way to un-annoy myself. Where are mah girls??!!

another week-long break
Will the real Samantha please stand up?
Oi Max, Sam Goh is in Tasmania! But being a naturally forgiving person, I forgive you la
The week plus-long Raya break has officially started today! I can't believe that half a sem had passed so quickly; time really flies.
It has been a busy, fun-filled eventful half-sem, I wonder what's in store for me in the second half!
I don't even know your name,
but I already want to have your babies.
And can all the self-proclaimed males please raise your hands? Because sometimes I think there aren't any anymore. Yes I'm officially pissed off, and the TV better have something good on.
This is such a random mix of little posts; in truth, I hate it!

it was only last week?!
What went on last week, which was the busiest week this year so far! Apart from having two presentations and submitted one essay, I also...
...went for Tenji somewhat earlier in the week for parents' 20th anniversary.
The weekend before that, we went to Penang and then Camerons. Imagine, halfway down Camerons my dad's car emitted smoke so we had to send it for repairs and got stranded for 3 hours plus. I hate stray dogs.
Goodbye lovely Camerons bungalow!
On Thursday was Jeff's farewell; pictures available here.
Team Sure Win - Samantha, Siew Ling, Brandon and Zhi Ming insists on the existence of the Malay word 'hampus' while Team Annoying made up of Mei Hsuan, Bryan Lim, Joanne Lie, Sarah Tai and Grace Chow does not agree.
Even though Team Annoying is made up of people who mostly got A for their BM in SPM (though none from Team Sure Win ahem) this just goes on to prove that scoring in standardized exams does not ensure your street smartness and pure common sense.
HAMPUSkan you then you know!

goodbyes, sadbyes?
Here's a goodbye post to people leaving.
Firstly, to Jeff who is leaving to London soon (I hope you get your visa sorted out, no problems). Here's to almost 8 years of knowing you ever since we were in the same tuition center. And now you're dating one of my best friend!
LDR can work, because I know the both of you are strong enough for it.
Next to David, here's to a year plus of friendship. Have fun over at Scotland, keep safe, and remember your promise to bring back a Scottish lad souvenir, complete with the kilts, bagpipes and all!
So sorry I couldn't see you to the airport, but thanks for the last minute call anyway, though it was so shocking when you said you were at the airport now. Ha ha
And finally, my daddy is leaving for Penang tomorrow to start his first day of work over there.
You guys would be glad to know that I am keeping busy.

da Noble one's (early) 19th!
The reason why I always blog so long after a particular event is because I usually upload the pictures on facebook first, and after days of looking through every pic, captioning and replying the comments, I get so sick of the pics that I don’t even want to blog about it anymore.
That is why I'm spontaneously uploading the pics on facebook and blogging here, before the event becomes 'old'.
Early apologies for the very informal language of this post; I don't feel like making a very 'formal' and grammatically correct post for once.
Introducing Ms Kua from Thailand.
Ok ok fine I'm just joking, I think your hair looks fabulous! I really do! *ahem LONGNESS hahaha*
Joey and I camwhored like nobody’s business at the back of Alexis’ car on the way to Daryl’s house. Or rather, Joey did. WARNING: All her pics are available at the facebook link at the end of this post. Hehe.
This Joey ah, reaaaaally talks a lot. I sat beside her, and halfway to the Curve I wanted to beg Alexis to stop the car so I can throw something out.
But she and I could agree on one thing, which was capturing pictures under the sunlight can really brings out one’s dyed hair colour. Weeeeeee~
We tried out our theory and yes it worked! Though, it looked much much better in real life, I’m sure.
Had our dinner and drinks at Laundry! Hot wei the place we sat at, no fan, aircond or even natural wind.
I think Joey looks really cute in the above pic. This reminds me, I think I need to start putting on blusher; I’m getting too pale for my own good.
Pey Wen looks like she’s so pissed off with me...why girl?! If it’s my hotness I understand, but really girl, tsk tsk.
Ok ok just joking, I think your hair is really awesome, yes I do!
Another one of the cute Joey-dominating pics. Sathish and Cheong Hong looks frustrated, I wonder why?
Next stop, Ice Bar!!!! Awesome possum shizzo, now I can cross off ‘Going to icy cold place’ in my bucket list!
Okay yes I know I am too but please don’t be so obvious lah
First attempt = FAIL! One thing good about being the camera owner is that you can edit, filter and censor the pics before posting it up for the rest of the world to see.
Second attempt = hehehe better!
Me and the girls again; me and another of my epic Standout moment.
ICE COLD SHOTS IN ICE COLD BAR! It was freaking -15 degrees okay, negative 15!! My hands were so freezing cold it hurt, and the glass shots were practically burning me! Did I mention how cold it was?!
Me and birthday boy! Okay, early birthday kay hehe.
The above are all the girls who went that day, outside Ice Bar. Please no comparing kthxbai. *hides face*
Proceeded to one of the latest place in town, the LIBRARY. I wanted to go try out that place ever since I heard about it, but we couldn’t make it for the opening.
Unfortunately it was so full and we couldn’t get a place. Finally we ended up…
…here. IN FRONT of VW okay no small joke! Sat on the ground (mine was the slope place summore, and my heels were bloody killing me again as usual wahahaha)
Nearing midnight, we decided to go to Hartamas again (their territory la) but stood around Hartamas Square for like half an hour waiting for seats then cannot wait any longer so we went back home.
More pictures available at this following link: click here.
Rezwa drives like the road’s the F1 circuit, omg. And I didn't even have my IC with me, (long story involving me forgetting to bring my whole purse wtf), but thanks Casey and Rezwa anyway for making me laugh so much on the way back. Ha ha Simple Plan IS emo!
Now, Joey’s birthday in Sipadan yay!!!!
Ok fine although that’s like way in January, at least I got another beach thing to look forward to yea?
Redang in less than 2 weeks, I’m so happy can cry.
Ms Kua and Sleeping Beauty.
My girls are so hot!!
