Last October, I had the privilege of being part of Nuffnang’s historical milestone moment. I was invited as a guest of bryanlyt to take attend Nuffnang’s First Regional Blog Awards in Singapore, a collaborated sponsored trip by Nuffnang and Singapore Tourism Board.
Initially I did not think that I would be able to go as I did not have a passport and it was in the middle of my assignments period, therefore I did not apply to attend the trip by writing the required post. However when Bryan asked me, I couldn’t resist. My parents were okay with it so I skipped a class to go make my passport as the trip was in a week’s time.
Only when I had the passport in my hands did I confirm the trip to my friends. In case, you know, I jinx it by promising something not 100% confirmed yet. ![]()
Kristine my high school friend was also invited along as a guest of Jackieloi therefore I was happy that I had at least one girl kawan that I know!
(That was before the trip, now I know a couple more dy wahahah)
The trip was mostly sponsored, we only had to pay for food! ![]()
Oh and I had my favourite Zinger burger on the way there! Second time in my life Shawn, wahaha!

Finally after a grueling 5-hour bus trip, we disembarked in Link Hotel.
Quite nice what the room. I’d recommend this place for potential tourists.
View also not bad. See the bridge? Thus the boutique hotel’s name.
Barely had time to dress as we reached the hotel way over the stipulated time. And tragedy struck as usual when my eyelash glue had dried up and I had to rush all the way down the corridor to borrow Vivien’s. It saved my life, that it did. ![]()

Dress: cousin Grace’s.
Necklace: (In this pic it’s Grace’s as well but I wore Kristine’s new choker in the end)
Purse: Mum’s.
Earrings: cousin Grace’s.
Leggings: Mine.
Well, at least I wore something that is really mine.
See, so rushed that I did not have time to fix my hair bigbigsigh. And on hindsight, I thought perhaps my dress was too long, heh.
We took the bus to Pacific Hotel for the event that night; there were so many people! Imagine about 200 bloggers from Australia, Singapore and Malaysia not including (or does it?) their guests and Nuffies (staff) of course.
Now, the pictures you see here I have ‘borrowed’ from other bloggers. I did not charge my camera and it konked out within 5 minutes of arriving at the dinner. Typical Sam-worthy bad luck.

Dinner was not bad, food was good. There were the same speeches and some videos showing the milestones of Nuffnang. Set was elegant and it was really the first time I attended a formal event in which most of the attendees were my age!
First time I met Diese was at the Standout event. Chris Thoo aka tomato guy: I think we stumbled upon each other’s blog before I met him officially here. ![]()
I like the colour and contrast here!

Yes we also camwhored in the boys toilet.
And the girls’.
One thing I realised about going on this trip with these bloggers is that they are snap-friendly. Every reflective surface is a camera op. Even more keng than me okay.

OK by now I myself am also sick of seeing my face already.
Ooh the food was awesome. Especially the soup! But I can’t remember the long names after all this while sorry.
