Right after the Mint Museum tour, we walked across the street to the infamous Raffles Hotel.
The giant elegant white building I have heard a lot about…especially the rumours regarding the non-living which glide along the corridors of the old building. Therefore I was quite excited to have a look around the infamous building.
It was however a bright and open place. Nothing scary about it in any way! It was also a fabulous place to take photographs, due to the lighting and white paint.
Then, they found a pretty painted wall which makes for more photo-taking! ![]()
And group photos after some deliberation and camera stabling.

Next, we got on the bus again to go for a ride on the Singapore Flyer.
Standing over …m tall, the Singapore Flyer is basically a remodel of the London Eye.
Each cabin could fit up to 25 people, and there are …cabins.

Unfortunately the view wasn’t much as all I saw were blue waters and torn grounds of construction buildings. And it gets pretty boring after a while, but then I’m never much of a landscape view person.

Introducing Singapore!
What’s fun actually is that they had this jungle walk trail thing below the Flyer. And since it was Halloween season, they had decorated it with that theme.

I took this really creative map which detailed out the view from the Flyer.

I was actually quite tired already after the Flyer, but we still had to go on. Next stop, Esplanade.
…where I splurged on a lot of chocolate-related stuff like the muffin and ice cream. And made me totally miss out on trying the (much more cheaper) Singapore wafer ice cream! ![]()
After a while, we all walked to the Merlion area. I was very exhausted by that time and just wanted to go back to the hotel to sleep, but then the show had to go on.

On to Bugis Street! Which was the only place where I only wanted to go actually…because of the cheap bargains that I heard from everyone?!!
But first, dinner at the infamous MOS Burger.

If we don’t have to convert to RM, it’s pretty cheap compared to Malaysian fast food. The specialty is definitely the rice burger.
…which is not this, heh.
Tucking in to the calorific sin
I look squashed because the seats were so cramped that we had to squeeze ourselves to fit in. Yes, there were that many people and that few seats.
The shopping part after that was one of the best part of the whole trip ![]()
Next part: Day 3 and last day of #nnawards!
